The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation
The Foundation wanted to create a building that reflected its long-standing interest in the environment, supported the emerging green-building industry, and provided a healthy and productive workplace.
In keeping with the Foundation's values, we designed interior signage that used recycled glass tiles along with patina bronze panels.
We like to believe that the signs helped the Foundation's building achieve LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification. The building was the first in California, and only the fifth in the nation, to receive gold-level certification under the LEED 2.0 standards.
“The conference room and office signs are one of the most beautiful features of our new building. It is hard to show them to visitors without rubbing your hand across them to 'feel' the beauty.”
