Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation

The Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation recently moved to a new location in Palo Alto. The USGBC's LEED environment, which was created by Hawley Petersen & Snyder, uses unusual materials woven together, including woods with salvaged edges mixed with smooth materials, reclaimed wood beams, bamboo, recycled glass countertops, textured glass room dividers, reclaimed bronze kick plates, and patina walls.

Enter Stowe Design to design the interior signage. Picking up on the use of unusual materials and meeting the LEED project points, the 20 meeting room signs use reclaimed bronze and EcoCast concrete that has been laser cut and digitally printed. The rooms are named after cities or towns meaningful to Gordon and Betty Moore. A sign inside each meeting room tells the story behind the room's name.
